About
Proudly made up North
I’m a sports and lifestyle photographer and videographer based in the North West, working with athletes, race organisers and brands who want their stories told with a hard-working Northern attitude.
I grew up near the Lake District and have since travelled the world working in television production, delivering fast‑turnaround programmes for BBC Sport, ITV, Prime Video and Netflix. Working to tight deadlines, travelling light and keeping everything on track is what I do.
Since re-branding as Oh Heck Media, I have covered brand activations and races at Love Trails Festival 2026, provided initial imagery for new businesses launching their socials and covered community events for sports teams.
Broadcast background
In the bag
- Weather-sealed kit
- Professional photo and video gear built to keep shooting through rain, wind and grit, so a forecast never decides the shot list.
- 4K drone
- Aerial coverage for routes, venues and the sheer scale of a place, the angles you cannot reach on foot.
- Action cameras
- On-body and close-in angles for the moments a full-size rig would never fit into.
Based in Kendal, happy to travel
Home is Kendal, right on the edge of the Lake District, so the fells, the Dales and the coast are all within easy reach.
Nothing keeps me there though. I work right across the North West and the whole of the UK, and I’ll travel internationally for the right project. Rain, wind or sunshine, I capture your story wherever it takes me.
Oh heck: a Northern expression pronounced “ow‑eck” an expression of surprise, trepidation, humour, irony or sarcasm. Alternative expression: Hecky‑peck
